The main problem is that the 4K standard is defined at a wider aspect than current full HD (1920x1080), so you have some stuff that supports the proper 4K resolution, 4096x2160 or whatever it is, but a lot of the monitors and TVs are at double full HD, 3840x2160.
However, some of the games I can change the resolution to 3840x2160, thanks to the option in the AMD driver settings, and it looks and runs great. But some games, I can not go any higher up than 1920x.
3840x2160 (4k) is NOT ultrawide, but is more demanding on the GPU than any of the above. Now it's not exactly proportional. So, a 4K screen has 4x the number of pixels as 1920x1080, but actually tends to perform a little better than 1/4 the number of fps of a 1920x1080.

If I game on a 5120x1440 monitor, then have a second 5120x1440 monitor on top of that one which only displays my desktop, will that put more, less, or equal strain than if I were to run a single 3840x2160 monitor?
