The 4x12 bass cabs Marshall offered up to the late 80's ARE 1960a spec cabinets. The bass designation came from the use of H ("heavy") magnets with 444 style "bass" cones. But they're bass speakers, right? Kinda. 444 cones are also found on K85/K100s and Vintage 30s amongst others. They're part of the G12-80 or properly G12H80 speakers.

Just remembered, Marshall did make a 120w lead cab loaded with 4 celestion g12h speakers. These speakers were rated at 30w each. There were three distinct cabs in the late '60s early '70s. 1960 a or b guitar cab. 1935 a or b bass cab. 1982 a or b 100 watt cab. Says 100 in corner. All 4x12 cabs.

Ok, after getting screwed over twice on new amps i kow have put my eye on a sunn 4x12 cab. Except there are 2 of them, the newer fender made and the old sunn made. The fender is 300 watt 16 ohms and the old school sunn made is 160 watt 8 ohm. What would be better to get (or try to get at least).
