Instead, it might be a desktop app. To enable the camera for all desktop apps, make sure Allow desktop apps to access your camera is switched On. Desktop apps are usually apps that weren't installed through the Microsoft Store. They might include apps installed from the internet, a USB drive, or apps installed by an IT administrator.
When you allow remote connections to your PC, you can use another device to connect to your PC and have access to all of your apps, files, and network resources as if you were sitting at your desk. If you only need to use your PC locally, there's no need to enable Remote Desktop.
Then, allow apps access to your microphone. In Microphone settings, go to Let apps access your microphone and make sure it's turned On. Once you've allowed microphone access to your apps, you can change the settings for each app. In Microphone settings, go to Choose which apps can access your microphone, and turn on apps you want to use with it.
