Hi y'all! I've been kicking around the idea of upgrading my system and going bigger. I was curious if anyone had some aquarium brands in mind they would absolutely avoid and who they would recommend for bigger tanks. I have a 75g now and was thinking I could use the same stand and equipment...
Of course, no one building an aquarium stand has that kind of patients for wood to acclimate lol! So my advice would be to choose the straightest 2x4's you can find, and when you get them home stack them with some weight on them to hold them together.
If you want to build your own aquarium controller, you'd be much better off to use a combination of Home Assistant with the Esphome addon and using the esp32 devices for sensor interfacing. It is a lot more powerful that way, with the added benefit of having web and mobile clients.
VIolet sea aquarium? It's local to me and well known in our reef club. Some tanks are overcrowded, but they just installed about 40 smaller tanks to separate the fish. They're more known for fish than corals. They dont qt fish, but i qt them and theyre just fine. No experience with their shipping method.
