For paint, I rolled/brushed on a white latex interior enamel. After it dries, installation, as they say, is the reverse of removal. Take some time to check your sunroof drainpipes, seal your roof bar attachment points and maybe run wires to the back for power, etc. before putting it back in, though. Cheap and fairly easy.
Painted the headliner today. Took about a half gallon of paint (interior, semi-gloss, latex) before the blotchiness and texture stopped being offensive.
They come in many styles. You can paint them to match your interior if you want but I chose not to. Next take a look at your shitty headliner and figure out where you should put the fasteners. To do this you the tip of your finger to hold up the headliner. You will find a sweet spot where one fastener will tighten up a large area.
Exterior: no dents or rust; paint either in good condition or price adjusted to reflect, RTE bumpers would be a plus. Interior: no tears, excessive wear, etc...original looking condition would be awesome. It's going to be a DD, so I don't want anything above a mild lift. Only non- or very low-rust cars considered. I'm in CA.
