To repeat for others and search engines: custom wallpapers can be deleted on iPadOS 17, but only from the lock screen, when the iPad is unlocked by touching and holding a finger to the wallpaper; this opens the wallpaper selection page, then you can swipe up and delete the custom wallpapers.
After updating to iPadOS 17, most of the default wallpapers on my iPad have disappeared. I can't find the iPad Pro M2 default wallpaper and many different wallpapers that were there before the update.

I have several iPads and just purchased a 9'7 iPad Pro. One of my favorite wallpapers is on my old iPad 2 and I want to transfer it to my new iPad. (I already set up the Pro using the iCloud backup from my mini since I have not used the 2 in a couple of years), How can I find the wallpaper file on the iPad 2?
