Capybaras Drawing

Capybaras are short-haired brownish rodents with blunt snouts, short legs, small ears, and almost no tail. They are shy and associate in groups along the banks of lakes and rivers. They normally feed in the morning and evening and spend most of the day resting under cover along the banks.

Capybaras don’t mind being alone, but they also live in groups of up to 40. Their breeding season varies throughout the year depending on what habitat they live in and the availability of mates.

Capybaras usually live in small groups of about 10 individuals, made up of a dominant male, one or more females, one or more subordinate males, and several young.

Mostly found in South America, it is a close relative of the guinea pig and rock cavies. Shape: Capybaras have a heavy, barrel-shaped body along with a large rectangular-shaped head. Size: The adults are generally 100 cm to 130 cm long and 50 cm to 60 cm tall.
