Cornerstones is a nonprofit organization that promotes self-sufficiency by providing support and advocacy for those in need of food, shelter, affordable housing, quality childcare, and other human services.

Cornerstones operates the largest and most accessible food pantry in northwest Fairfax County. Cornerstones and its partners provide programs and services at a number of community resource centers. In these safe and nurturing environments, our staff works with residents to support self-sufficiency through skills development and addressing urgent needs.

When a person receives any financial assistance, they are required to attend a financial literacy class run in a partnership between Herndon-Reston FISH and Cornerstones. If a client fails to participate in the Financial Literacy class, the agency will suspend any additional support.
