Dakin Humane Society is a non-profit animal shelter, low-cost spay/neuter clinic, dog training center, and safety net for animals and people in need in western Massachusetts and beyond.
Appointments to surrender a pet to Dakin are required so we can have space and staff ready for them. Please do not bring your animal to the shelter without an appointment. If this is an emergency (e.g., a person or animal is in danger, or you are unhoused/homeless), call us at 413-781-4000.
AVAILABLE PETS THROUGH ADOPT-A-PET The pets featured below are not animals at Dakin Humane Society and require direct communication through Adopt-a-Pet. This listing is a courtesy for those seeking to re-home and animal lovers looking to find a new pet. Dakin Humane Society is not responsible for any health conditions or behavior issues the animal may have.
With your support, Dakin Humane Society has created innovative programs that positively impact the lives of animals and the people who love them. Services including pet food aid, accessible public veterinary care, and spay/neuter surgery help keep people and pets together.
