BTW, I have used the technique Duane suggested many times and find it far preferable to the alternatives. Since the NumCopies field is in the report's record source query, it can be used to number the copies (e.g. a page header/footer text box with an expression like ="Copy " & NumCopies & " of 3")
The correct way to model this is, as Duane says, by values at column positions in rows in a table. The values are data and a fundamental principle of the database relational model is the Information Principle (Codd's Rule #1).
I would use a solution similar to what Duane suggested. I would use a subform linked to the mainform on DetpID and then use code to set the visible property for the controls not needed not visible.
