5 Loaves Farm is a community hub on Buffalo’s West Side, using once-vacant properties as a living classroom where we provide jobs for local youth, spiritual nourishment to our neighbors, and access to healthy, sustainably grown food.
We have been welcoming visitors to our operational horse, livestock, and pumpkin farm since 1980, when the Kelkenberg Family first opened their farm to the public. There is fun for every season of the year! We’ve continued to update our food offerings on the farm!
Our year-round youth program provides paid employment and leadership development for Buffalo youth ages 14–20 through hands-on experiences in farming, food enterprise, and social justice organizing. MAP’s urban farm resides on roughly an acre of growing space on the West Side of Buffalo.
