Flanders is the northern, Dutch-speaking region of Belgium, known for its rich history, vibrant cities, and picturesque countryside. It comprises five provinces- Antwerp, Limburg, East Flanders, West Flanders, and Flemish Brabant-and is home to over six million people.
Within Belgian discussions, the two westernmost provinces of the Flemish Region, West Flanders and East Flanders, forming the central portion of the historic County of Flanders are also still collectively referred to as Flanders.
