-The initial "G" is like a classification of priority for GM. I think that has to do with how a certain body style was selling. Like back in the early '60s, I think GM's A-body was their full-size vehicle. In the mid '60s the mid-size cars like the chevelles and cutlasses became A-bodies and the full-sizes like the impala became B-bodies.

I am a Buick guy, so the turbo cars hold a spot. I always wanted an Olds with a set of Lightning Rods. So, I dig em all. They are the last of the Mohicans. V8, body on frame, rear wheel drive....and a distant cousin to the GM A-body muscle cars. Build it and drive it like it is! Or, you'll never get to enjoy having a cool ride!

I am considering a pre-fabricated front clip for my pickup that will let me use 78-88 GM A/G body front suspension parts for my truck. I was wondering if anyone has a comprehensive list of all RWD GM cars from 78-88 that are considered a A or G body?
