My drawing is in local coordinates and ground distances but Grid SPC data was imported through a transformation to achieve this. If I look at the points, they all are listed with both local and SPC coordinates.
To make a reference grid on your viewport use MAPLAYOUTREFERENCESYSTEM command. Assign an appropriate coordinate system to your drawing then go to your Layout Tab. Make the Layer you want the grid to appear on the current layer.
