The brothers Franz and Hans Hager produced the first skis under the name "Hagan" in their wagon factory in Antiesenhofen. The name comes from the first three letters of "Hager" and the first two letters of "Antiesenhofen." By 1925, the first 500 pairs of solid ash wood skis had already been sold.
