Highlander but I was heartbroken to see a TSB report about bad transmissions needing to be replaced on 2021s. Given new is likely out of budget, I'd hoped to buy something just a few years old and in the 50k or less range for miles. Is there a different year I should be looking at to avoid this problem?
With the Highlander- the worst offenders are the 20" Bridgestones and Goodyear Eagles on the XSE, Limited, and Platinum trims. The tires that they put on Highlanders with the 18" wheels are a little better- but still not likely to last very long. I've had to replace the tires on every Toyota that I've ever purchased before the 30K mile mark.
