St. Thomas Aquinas, commenting on these, said that the first two are mortal (they perish with the body) while the last is immortal (continues beyond death). By this reasoning, a horse would have a mortal soul, but when the animal dies, its soul does not continue.

A horse can't verbally tell you when something's wrong so they show you, and most of the time when it's pain related the "showing you" is through bucking, rearing, or these type of behaviors. It can't just be ruled out as a horse acting out, especially if the horse is just now developing this problem.

A lifetime horse inspection permit is thirty dollars. In Idaho a lifetime permit is fifty-three dollars. The lifetime permit is good for as long as you own the horse or mule and is non-transferrable. Do I need one for every state? That could get expensive! No, brand inspection permits are reciprocal.

Really don't seem to want anyone to own a horse and feel like no one but them can care for a horse. These rescues frequently maintain ownership of their horses. Their "adoption" contracts would be more correctly labeled fostering contracts as they never allow the adoption to be finished and ownership of the horse to pass to the new owners.
