Many Western horses are trained to drop their head/give to pressure when the rider initiates contact with the reins. Perhaps he was trained in reining and/or western pleasure.

Each of the horse's actions takes a certain amount of time. For example, meals take 30 minutes. Your horse must be put to bed before midnight (horse time), after which time horses can no longer carry out actions. The only exception is foaling, which can happen at any time. To keep a horse in top shape, you should put it to bed no later than 10 pm.
