When I read the title of this thread I had to laugh "how long does ganache last in the refrigerator?" Are you serious?? I'm lucky if I have enough for my cake. I have three teenagers in my house that love the stuff so leftovers is never an issue with me. However, if I were to have some in the fridge I'd toss it after a couple of weeks.
Normal marshmallow fondant doesn't need to be kept refridgerated, and it is harder to work with cold fondant, so I would take it out of the fridge and keep it somewhere dark at room temperature. As long as it is well wrapped to keep it from drying out, it should last a good long while.
Hello, I have 2 cakes due this weekend but have to go out of town thursday and friday so I will need to do most everything ahead of time. I would rather not freeze the cakes if I don't have to. How long will they last in the refrigerator? The cakes are due on saturday. I figure if I have to back them today they would only be frozen for a couple of days because I start my cakes a few days ...
