Xfinity App not working on Firestick I have a couple of TVs with Amazon Firesticks for streaming. As of October 2025 (probably after software updates), the Xfinity Stream app does not work anymore. For live channels, the app keeps buffering and does not show any content. For recordings, it does not play any of them.
The problem appears to be a firmware change in the "Select" version of the 4k Firestick, that Xfinity is sensitive to but the16 other streaming apps we use, are not. We found an older HD Firestick on Amazon and no longer have the problem. Xfinity better fix this when we get our 4k TV, or they will be dropped.

Xfinity Stream & FireStick Closed Caption Settings The closed caption (CC) toggle in this environment is easy. Simply pause the program; in the lower right corner is an OPTIONS icon of 3-parallel lines. Select that icon and de-select the CC setting. Resume play.
