Your i-card is your official University of Illinois photo ID. It also works as your bus pass to ride the Mass Transit District (MTD) and your library card. To pick up your i-card please visit the ID Center in the Illini Union Bookstore or the i-card website.
Degree-seeking students, active faculty and staff, and many retirees are eligible for i‑cards. You may get your i‑card whenever you need it but there's no requirement to have or carry one.
There is no general requirement to obtain or carry an i‑card or other university ID. If you don't use your ID on your local campus, there is no need to replace it.
