After restarting the iPad, allow the new iPad to complete initial setup and software update without attempting to transfer data, or restoring a backup, to the new device.

I havent used my ipad in a year and forgot my password (android user here). After some attempts, it said wait 8 hrs, then it said security lockout, now it says unavailable. Please just tell me how to reset to factory settings and begin again. [Re-Titled by Moderator]
