I'm wondering why larue is never compared between LMT vs HK vs KAC vs SCAR? I have zero experience in Larue. At the moment I'm very interested in LMT and I like the quick change barrel feature. My buddy has an OBR, and he's recommending the larue large frame that has the "quick change" barrel...

Re: LaRue Tactical, Good or Bad? The LaRue rifles are great weapons. what ever you do buy an adjustable gas system set up. especially if you plan on using a suppressor.
The Larue barrels are slower? On AR10 and AR15 stealth every single 7.62 or 5.56 barrel made by LaRue not Walther has been slower by 50-100 fps slower than that of the typical barrels of other top manufacturers. Can’t say it plainer than that.
I'm a big fan of Mark's rifles. I'm not a big fan of Mark. He's blocked me on every platform he's been on at least once. My Large Frame Larues (OBRs and PredatOBRs) shoot stupid well. Larue is passionate about what he does and he’s good at designing and engineering which youll see if you look at some of his non traditional approaches to his firearms.
There are a whole lot of (IMHO, very confused) people who think that a Larue Rifle should have a Larue Barrel, and don't trust any other barrel manufacturer. Same goes for the PredatOBR. The only other threaded barrel I had to compare the LaRue barrels to was the AI barrel (Desert Tech and MRAD having proprietary extensions, of course).
