Leatherface Actual Face

Created by Tobe Hooper and Kim Henkel, Leatherface was partially inspired by the crimes of Wisconsin murderer Ed Gein. The character has subsequently been represented in various other media, including novels, video games, and comic books; appearing in all nine films in the franchise.

Due to the series' complicated continuity, the character's history may vary as there are different versions of Leatherface, but it's generally accepted that he's a butcher that engages in cannibalism alongside his family and wears a mask made from a person's skin while wielding his iconic chainsaw.
