Many of Lego's shipments were returned, following poor sales. In 1955, Lego released the "Town Plan" using plastic Lego building bricks as the system. While initially moderately received, the original building bricks were hampered by their limited "locking" ability and lack of versatility.
By April 2020, Universal Pictures established a five-year deal for exclusive rights for the production of further Lego films with The Lego Group; the four existing Lego films made by Warner Bros.
