I put leftovers either in glass dishes with plastic snap-on lids, or glass bowls with a silicone lid. If I must use plastic wrap, I try not to let it touch the food. Aluminum foil is inferior because it’s difficult / impossible to make it really air-tight. So basically I agree with you. But it’s better not to put plastic wrap directly on food; micro-plastics are a real problem.
