It took me about 18 months because my garage only has 2 temperatures, 40* or 95*. I had a 99 stock Lightning and from a seat of the pants feeling the Lightning was much quicker from standing still. The 5.0 has a stock rebuilt 4R70W a stock converter with a US Shift controller, the 68 has a 3.50/ Detroit locker.
Could someone please explain the basic changes that took place with the lightnings from 1999-2004? Not sure of all of the body cosmetic changes or powertrain changes. I do remember some intercooler issues in the early years , but not sure what all of that was about either. Please fill me in. Thanks!

So a lightning from coil (stock) and a stifflers arm would drop a stock F-150 about 2" WIth a 2" drop on a normal F-150 the stock lightning bilsteins would work.
