Loggers expose the interface that application code directly uses. Handlers send the log records (created by loggers) to the appropriate destination. Filters provide a finer grained facility for determining which log records to output. Formatters specify the layout of log records in the final output.

The log () method of Logger is used to Log a message. If the logger is currently enabled for the given message level which is passed as parameter then a corresponding LogRecord is created and forwarded to all the registered Output Handler objects.

Logger names can be arbitrary strings, but they should normally be based on the package name or class name of the logged component, such as java.net or javax.swing. In addition it is possible to create "anonymous" Loggers that are not stored in the Logger namespace.

The DI container locates an ILogger with the correct category and supplies it as the constructor argument. If no ILogger with that category exists yet, the DI container automatically creates it from the ILoggerFactory in the service provider. The logger parameter received in the constructor is used for logging in the HandleRequest function.
