I submitted my 1st firearm LTC application last week and did the fingerprint. Could anyone tell me (1) When do I need to be photographed? (2) Usually how long it takes to get the license in Mass ?
Input into MIRCS on May 3 and still waiting. There must be lots of manual steps involved in the application process besides MIRCS -- I cannot believe it could take a computer so many days to find answer for a LTC application.
I graduated from the MSP SSPO Academy. Our duty weapons are stored in a lock-box in our Police Department when we are off duty, however numerous guys I work with have LTC ALP or LTC Personal Protection and carry off duty. I am young and just beginning my LE carrer and was issued a Class A LTC - Employment Restriction.
Dropped off paperwork 11/30, interview 12/15, and received new LTC on 12/29. Prior LTC renewal took less than 4 weeks as well. - My Wife's LTC renewal (last year) took 3 months. Reason given was delays with CHSB/State. - According to Chief Ron Glidden (a few months ago), DMH was taking in excess of 8 weeks if they were getting back to PD at all.
Chief arbitrarily decided that NOBODY should get LTC-A/ALP or should carry concealed and started down-grading damn near everyone. GOAL put serious heat on him with City Council and rumor (to me) is that some are now getting LTC-A/ALP unrestricted, but others tell me that they got restricted.
I have an LTC class A restricted out of boston ma how can i go about getting my LTC Class A unristricted if i have all the requirements for an LTC, but boston Ma would not give a all lawfull purpose.why.
