I have talked with many people about Hahns and some say they are quiet and some say they are louder than their conures. What are your experiences with these macaws?
I've noticed that some large parrots, especially macaws have an unusual scent that I find very pleasant. Is it me or do macaws smell different from most other parrot type birds? Amazons may smell like this too but I haven't noticed it as much. Do any of you macaw owners notice this too?
A captive/pet Macaw who suddenly starts plucking at only 7 years-old is a great worry, especially if he's not been re-homed or gone through some great environmental, home, or ownership/people change, or some other change that occurred right before/around the time that they started plucking.
