GMU 127 / Mica Peak Really close to Spokane, and all private, sounds like good whitetail country. You can try pounding on some doors, I've always been told no for permission out there. I think your best bet would the inland paper. The elk that I know of out there are close to Newman lake and into Post Falls.
Any Mica Peak Elk??? No shortage, assume depredation hunts are happening as we speak, saw 3 or 4 dozen after rifle and before archery. WDFW seems to want them all dead except they don't, same old, same old
I went elk hunting today on mica peak and it was definately combat hunting except no one was shooting. I was wondering if anyone can give me some tips on hunting mica peak. I am hopefully going again on thursday. Also, are their any elk on Mt. Spokane. Would it be better to go thier than mica peak? and if so, would you go to the east side towards spirit lake. Last weekend 4/11 and 12, I so two separate groups of Elk. 1 south of Mica on Saturday and the other south of Cheney on Sunday. Both groups had plenty of hard antlers on their heads.
Well for starters, I'd head up Mica peak, it's close by, and there are deer/elk and bear on that hill with public access.
