I had HomeDepot price match Menards for Milorganite at $8.88 per bag last week for enough to do a spoon feeding .25lbs/1,000 every two weeks. The Menards entire line of fertilizer is by far the best deal for pounds on the ground possible.
While cruising my local Home Depot's fertilizer section I noticed they were no longer carrying Milorganite and instead are selling Sunniland as their organic fertilizer. Does anyone have experience with this product? I noticed it still had the 6-4-0 with 2% iron but just comes in a 30lbs bag vs...
Products like Milorganite provide a lower safer amount of fertilization but what come with it? Since it's a byproduct of sewage treatment, how safe is it? What industrial waste comes with it? We know local codes probably forbid the dumping of dangerous chemicals, but it can still happen and may pass thru without removal.
Just wondering peoples opinions on Milorganite. Also if I chose to use it, is there anything else anyone can suggest to put down as well, or is that really all I will need as a fertilizer?

I still like Milorganite. I like that you don't have to really be concerned with burning or weighing and that it adds organic matter. I'm personally not using it this year because I'm curious about Carbon-X and don't need anymore phosphorus in my soil.
