Nan Lian Garden

Occupying an area of 3.5 hectares, "Nan Lian Garden" is built in the Tang Dynasty style. Besides adorned with characteristic timber structures, the garden is studded with clusters of bizarre rocks and planted with lots of old and valuable trees.

The Nan Lian Garden, built in the style of the Tang Dynasty, just like the convent located just across the street is really pretty. Access is free from 7am to 9pm daily. Easily accessible via public transport, plan about 45 min to 1 hour of sightseeing especially if you take the time to take photos and sit in the dedicated areas.

Connected to the nunnery by a footbridge is the Nan Lian Garden, a meticulously landscaped park that also follows the Tang dynasty design principles. The garden’s circular path leads visitors around a picturesque lake, guiding them past notable features such as the Pavilion Bridge, the Pine Teahouse and the iconic Pavilion of Absolute Perfection.

The Nan Lian Garden (Chinese: 南蓮園池; Cantonese Yale: nàamlìn yún chì) is a Chinese classical garden in Diamond Hill, Hong Kong near Diamond Hill station. The garden has an area of 3.5 hectares (8.6 acres). It is designed in Tang dynasty style [1] with hills, water features, trees, rocks, and wooden structures.

The Nan Lian Garden is a beautiful and serene space literally in the middle of the concrete jungle of Hong Kong. Not precisely around the corner but easily accesible with the MTR, the Diamond Hill station is a five-minute walk from the gardens.
