Although peonies only bloom for 1 to 2 weeks in early summer, by planting early-, mid-, and late-season varieties, you can extend the bloom time to four to six weeks.
Peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Bowl of Beauty') This peony is deer-resistant, easy to grow, and provides a 3-4 week period of blooms. When done flowering, the lush, green foliage can serve as a backdrop for other perennials, hardy roses or annuals.
