My sponge filter in my 10 gallon tank from petsmart has stopped working after I unplugged it while I was doing a water change and for an entirely different situation. I’ve tried to unplug and plug it back up but it doesn’t work at all anymore.
Petco seems to have better fish choices, while Petsmart sticks with the bread and butter species. Petsmart also pushes their cheap branded aquariums over selling other manufacturers' aquariums. In short, I like Petco better.

Is buying fish from Petsmart a good idea or not, I don't really have a LFS within an hour of me so I would like to know if the fish are fine, especially with the policy.
