Systems Theory: the transdisciplinary study of the abstract organization of phenomena, independent of their substance, type, or spatial or temporal scale of existence. It investigates both the principles common to all complex entities, and the (usually mathematical) models which can be used to describe them.
This article identifies seven key principles and examines how they can impact a State aid investigation. First, we review how environmental principles have been operationalised into the Commission’s State aid guidelines on climate, environmental protection and energy.
These principles are not just connected to ITIL but are reflected in many other frameworks, methods, standards, philosophies and/or bodies of knowledge. This allows organisations to effectively integrate the use of multiple methods into an overall approach to service management.
