Here are some pictures of the Maxwell June with a blade installed. I did the card stock test and it easily sliced the paper. So it's got positive blade exposure! Very very minimal blade reveal that I'd say resembles a Blutt razor:

The purpose of a swivel spring on any razor should be to have the head consistently return to its index position after it moves - ideally it should contribute zero force to aligning the blade angle when shaving, but because physics, there will always be a need to overcome the tension a swivel spring presents.
