The Carolinas - Rtic vs Yeti - I've seen comparisons on you tube that show these coolers perform identically and sometimes the Rtic even outperformed the Yeti. Like most people, I don't need to keep ice for more than a couple days.

SportFishing and Charters Forum - RTIC coolers?? - I had a post about purchasing a yeti cooleri a few weeks ago and recently stumbled upon RTIC coolers. They look similar to Yeti but are significantly cheaper. Are these any good / comparable or just some half A$$ knock offs? Thanks! Stevie Sacs
RTIC is every bit as good as Yeti as far as ice retention. The key with any cooler you want to keep frozen/cold for days is prep (pre-chilling) and keeping the lid shut. I fished the wahoo mayhem in Bimini last month and packed an RTIC 45 with chum blocks, ballyhoo, and squid for deep drops/fun fishing after the tourney.
