I bought yesterday an xbox one series s and downloads are unbearably slow. I have all xbox console variants even xbox one x and always my downloads from store or gamepass never went below 80Mbps speeds (i have a 200Mbps connection). But with the series s doesnt go past 10Mbps, theres times it even stops completely.
Now a new update has arrived (oh joy) and a few more hours gone to install, but now my computer is so slow it takes between 25-30 to turn on, typically I get a messege that "windows is not responding" every update take a very long time to install and usually costs me an entire day of work and paying an outside techinicam to fix the speed problem.
I have an Acer Aspire 5, and my internet isn't slow so I don't believe that could be the issue. I've also tried using WSReset.exe but I couldn't get that to work either as it showed 0% CPU usage and never closed to indicate completion.
The slow ring also got access to a very recent ISO. A host of bugs were reported as being fixed. It is often difficult to diagnose an issue on a system that is not current. There is a update troubleshooter that might help but I would be tempted to run it up to either the latest slow ring or even the fast ring.
