A few recent T-Mobile locked phones (one of them is Revvl, another one - I do not remember) do not work with T-Mobile MVNOs. They do not pop-up "enter unlock code" message, they accept SIM card but do not see any network. I suspect that at least many of ( or even all) 5G compatible T-Mobile locked phones do not work with T-Mobile NVNOs.

I want to add a new line of service. There is both a T-Mobile Store and a T-Mobile Authorized Retailer about the same distance from me. Which one should I select? Does it matter in the least?

So I called T-Mobile customer service, but their reps cannot do anything either, since they need the T-Mobile account number that this phone is or has been associated with. I strongly suspect T-Mobile is in violation of the law with their internal processes denying customers their right, so I sent a complaint with the FCC on the way.
