Though coming from two completely different spheres of dramaland, I think this sentence captures the essence of The Forbidden Flower/Summer Flower/Xia Hua, which follows the rich and talented daughter of a late renowned painter, He Ran, who despite having everything, has gone through several dark days.
Besides naming the drama "The Forbidden flower" the drama incorporates a whole range of interesting flowers, both on canvas and out in fields. Making both animals , umbrellas and flowers an in-separate good part of the plot, more interesting than most of the supporting characters.
"The Forbidden Flower" has drawn me back into the world of C-Dramas. Several factors piqued my interest and compelled me to dive in: 1. Jerry Yan - my favorite actor whose performances I have always admired and loved plays the ML. His charisma and talent are hard to resist. 2.
