I finished an animation project this year where the main characters were 4 bears. I did it with Octane cause the deadline was tight and guess what.. no fur on bears.. only textue.
Seem fps and samples vary a lot in latest RC but there is a speed improvement.. and when I turn AA on there is no speed slow down.. Congrats , feels much solid than RC2 and filled with new toys . I'm little confused by new roughness slider though. you can make an endless variety of textures by making complex combinations with what's available.
Oh it's big, i love it ! i have only one commentary : where i buy this toys?
Pretty sure that this is a beginner question, I have been doing some renders to get my stuff looking like toys, but I notice that my materials tend to look "patchy" with octane so I tried tweaking settings, but nothing seems to be working.
Anyway, thanks for any help, and I have to say that along with Octane, Blender is my most beloved new toy! (work tools are those you only want to see on work hours, toys are those you can work with AND have fun at any other time also ;P) You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.
