hey guys just wondering, how selective is UIUC for bioengineering? I know it has a 43.7% acceptance rate. Do you think I could get in there with 6 bs in stem courses but strong gpa ovrall (3.89)?
This is probably the known issue for UIUC - it will first show as completed for regular admission but changes to early action within ~48 hours after submitting the SRAR.

The biggest differences between UIUC and UIC in engineering is that UIUC has plenty of well known, renowned faculty in their fields, UIC doesn’t. Each engineering department at UIUC has world class laboratories and research that goes on constantly, UIC doesn’t.

UIUC has done a good job elevating/maintaining the desirability of many of their degrees, especially those in the Colleges of Engineering and Business. I agree that Grainger and Gies are getting good outcomes, yet it hasn’t slowed the relentless pace of students leaving the state and is not offset by OOS students coming to Illinois.
