Especially going forward, I think the "Figure 8" OCV/VVT gaskets will be common failures, as time simply takes it toll on the gasket material. The corresponding codes for the front head (Bank 2) are P0022, P0025, and that valve cover job is similar to the Bank 1 - but much easier!
I'm planning on changing my rear valve cover gasket soon. But where on the valve cover do you put the RTV sealant ? This picture posted on the forum shows it being place on the left and right sides only. Thanks again.
I replaced my valve cover gaskets last year and highly doubt that it's even posibble to do it without removing the surge tank. The rear side of the rear valve cover gasket, that is closest to the firewall, is the hardest to get aligned properly, though, and must be inspected from under the car before torquing the bolts.
