Vaseline does. But butter is added fat - whereas the molecules in vaseline are too large to be absorbed by kitty. But use of vaseline does need to be timed, especially if you're going to use it a few days in a row, or every few days regularly as maintenance. As Carolina already pointed out, ideally you give it two hours before/after any meal.
