In the heart of Hanoi, across from the iconic Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, lies a place steeped in history and reverence: the Memorial to the Revolutionary Martyrs (Bac Son Monument), or simply – The Vietnam War Memorial.
The Ho Chi Minh Memorial Complex includes the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and Museum. The simple stilt house was the leader's home from 1948 until his death in 1969. There is also the One Pillar Pagoda which was built in the 11th century and has been rebuilt after the rench destroyed it in 1954.
