Why do I have Horizontal lines (or vertical lines) At first started showing 2 weeks ago, it wasnt an issue as it was barely 5mm from the bottom screen area. But every week it got bigger and bigger its currently 5cm or 4x the size of the Task Bar. Sometimes it flickers, sometimes it gets REALLY black. I cant properly shutdown my laptop.
Hi @glenedannl20817 Horizontal lines are mostly caused by failed gate drivers in the LCD panel. You could check the ribbon cable connection that connect to the boards from the screen.

During a static image, the horizontal lines travel downward from top to bottom. I took it to a repair shop and they told me it has a "bad panel screen", and want $2,000 to repair it.
