I have a windows 7 home premium machine that shares all my media around the house. One day all of the shares just stopped being accessible and the computer cannot be pinged. I checked the network settings, disabled windows firewall (no other firewalls on the system), disabled ipv6, rebooted many times, reconnected network and more.
The Windows 10 update on 5.22.18 killed Symantec Endpoint Protection on my machine. The files appear to still be there, and it still shows up in my start menu, but it will not open, and it doesn't show up in the add-remove programs screen.
