WLOS had power issues at the transmitter on Mt. Pisgah. They were simulcasting on the My40 sister station which is now transmitted by WYFF as part of the NextGen Lighthouse agreement. So if you get WYFF with an antenna you should get My40 which has been broadcasting the WLOS signal. WYFF transmits on RF30.

Over the past month, though, the signal on WLOS (CH.13) seems to drop off between 7pm and 8pm. Sometimes it's a little later and affects the Saturday night football games. The signal just seems to die off for about 30 minutes and everything pixelates. Then, like a light switch, it clears up and the signal is strong for the rest of the evening.

However, WLOS Channel 13 from Asheville CAN be received with some strategic work, although it may require a separate VHF antenna, an amp, and a filter. Because strong signals from WSPA, WYFF, and FM radio can overload an amp or cause dropouts on 13 which is a weaker VHF signal.
